Beredar postingan yang menyebutkan bahwa virus Corona atau COVID-19 bukanlah sebuah virus mematikan namun sinyal 5G-lah penyebab pendemik saat ini. Dalam postingan tersebut disebutkan pula semuanya soal COVID-19 merupakan rekayasa.
Melalui hasil penelusuran, diketahui bahwa klaim postingan itu tidak benar. Sebab, klaim tersebut sudah diperiksa faktanya oleh organisasi periksa fakta dari Inggris, yakni Full Fact (fullfact.org).
Berdasarkan kajian analisis Full Fact, diketahui bahwa belum ada bukti valid yang menyebutkan jaringan sinyal 5G dapat membahayakan tubuh manusia. Sebab, jaringan 5G ditransmisikan melalui gelombang radio yang tidak terionisasi, artinya tidak merusak DNA di dalam sel. Adapun, menurut Full Fact, jaringan sinyal 5G yang sudah digunakan saat ini masih dalam batas aman.
Selain itu, sinyal 5G dengan COVID-19 tidak memiliki kaitan sama sekali. China bukan satu-satunya negara yang memiliki banyak menara jaringan sinyal 5G. Adapun, menurut Full Fact, Korea Selatan lah negara pertama yang menggunakan jaringan sinyal 5G.
Lalu, penyebutan nama Bill Gates sebagai salah seorang biang keladi di balik pandemi COVID-19 lantaran saat ini dirinya tengah membuat vaksin virus tersebut juga tidak benar. Sebab, Bill Gates melalui organisasi Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation mendonasikan dana kepada Pirbright Institute untuk meneliti dan paten vaksin avian infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) di tahun 2015, bukan COVID-19.
Berdasarkan penjelasan tersebut, klaim bahwa pandemik saat ini bukan dari COVID-19 melainkan jaringan sinyal 5G tidak benar. Oleh sebab itu, konten tersebut masuk ke dalam kategori Misleading Content atau Konten yang Menyesatkan.
