Posko Has Significant Impact in Pandemic Management in Indonesia

JAKARTA - As of April 11, 2021, the number of COVID-19 command posts (posko) that have been formed has reached 14,093 posts spread across 31 provinces and 323 districts / cities in Indonesia. The existence of this Posko has a significant impact in improving the discipline of health protocols and good development in reducing positive cases.

And it can strengthen the policy of Restricting Community Activities at the village and sub-district level or PPKM Mikro. Therefore, Spokesperson of the COVID-19 Task Force, Prof. Wiku Adisasmito appreciated the provinces and districts / cities that were not included in the PPKM Micro priority list, but took the initiative to establish a post.

"The existence of the Posko at the lowest level is part of the COVID-19 policy. And reflects the independence of the nation," he said in an International Media Briefing, at Graha BNPB, Tuesday (13/4/2021) as broadcast on the YouTube channel BNPB Indonesia.

It is known, that 426 posts spread across 12 non-PPKM Micro provinces. The details are Sulawesi Barat, Lampung, Kepulauan Riau, Sumatra Barat, Jambi, Bengkulu, Kalimantan Selatan, Sulawesi  Tenggara and Gorontalo.

"And it is hoped that in the future more posts will be formed and carry out their role in monitoring. So that the impact of this posko at the community level will be more effective," please Wiku.
